What is Merak Travels?
Merak Travels is an independent Balkans travel guide built for a specific kind of traveler — the kind who doesn't want a cookie-cutter itinerary pulled from the first page of a forum thread. The Balkans are one of Europe's most exciting regions — Albania's riviera, Montenegro's medieval bays, Bosnia's Ottoman old towns, Croatia's islands, the lakes of North Macedonia — yet reliable English-language travel content for the region is either five years out of date, buried in 50-page forum threads, or written by someone who spent two nights in Dubrovnik and called it a Balkans trip.
